should i still use my old fishing reel?
I have an older version of the Quantum Hypercast 3- ball bearing fishing reel. One of the screw heads is stripped so i can't get in there and lube up the parts near the bottom of the reel. It is still in good working condition though, I always make sure it doesn't get near dirt and stuff. It has some nicks and scratches on it, but it doesn't affect anything but looks.
Should I use it as a back-up? I have an Abu Garcia Impact reel that is great!

Bass fishing or just sunfish?
What lb test line should i give it?
You could always drill out the stripped screw.... or just use it until it does fail. I have three Garcia Mitchell 300 reels that are more than 25 years old and I still use them... as long as the reel has been well maintained and functions well - it's a proven tool in your fishing box.
