Betta question?
I had quite a few bettas but none like Bugsy. Bugsy was named for his personality, and is about 2 years of. The thing is, 6 months ago, he injured himself when trying to catch it to clean the tank. He goes ballistic whenever cleaning time is around. Now all he does is sit at the top of the tank, or spas if his tank moves a little. He has no swim bladder, I know the syptoms, but when I feed him, he does not seem to eat. It still looks like he will die, so in our house, his new nickname "Dead fish" and really always talked in this manner.Don 't get me wrong, I still love Bugsy, he has a great personality and is very funny. Is he just an extreme will to live? Seriously, it receives high quality care. Weekly cleaning of the tank, coat of stress, stuff to do drinking water, daily food, attention (not too much stress), and a quiet life despite it all. I never see the room, but it has to be alive, right?
At two years of your fish is a senior. Betta live normally between 2 and 3 years so that lack of activity is somewhat normal in a fish that old. The spaz of thing is also normal, would you like someone you compensation, rehabilitation all your furniture and dumping you back in?? Regarding the thing not to eat, I have a Betta who will not touch her food if there is an activity near his tank. He waits and eats off the gravel when he thinks no one around, which is probably what your fish is done. Good Luck. E.
