Ate at a restaurant in Sharm al Sheikh, food was served with a wonderful sauce... anyone know what it was?
(this was about 10 years ago)
This restuarant served mostly seafood. We had about 10 people in our party so we just ordered big platters of fried calamari, grilled fish, rice... the garnish was a cucumber/tomato relish and then there was a white sauce (cold) that was in a bowl... SOOOO tasty! didn't really taste like yogurt, probably tahini based, but I've never been able to remember what it was called or find a recipe.
Anyone know what it was?
thanks!
If u invited me i were going to tell u.10 years ago means no restaurant any more , and the food is rot what else , and it would be old fashion food even.
I am kidding , i think if it was sea food , 60% is Tahini sauce or 40% Baba ghanob.
Tahini sauce recipe:
* 1/2 cup tahini (sesame seed paste)
* 3 gloves garlic, crushed
* 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
* 2 tablespoons olive oil
* 1/4 cup lemon juice
* 1 teaspoon parsley, finely chopped (optional)
If it was Papagnob sauce actually it is not sauce it is close to be dipp more than sauce, you but over the above recipe grillled Eggplant.
enjoy it my friend
