this has air pump but takes too much space in my tank. (do i need a air pump in the first place? )

have heard that it gets clogged too soon
i would go with a whisper, they are the best affordable filters for small tanks. but the whisper you are looking at is very unreasonable for a two gallon tank, i would check drsfosterandsmith.com
they have really nice filters at good prices
